Puraffinity, a cutting-edge materials science company, required the design and installation of a specialist laboratory space to support its research and development activities. The lab needed to be highly functional, durable, and hygienic — with finishes and fixtures suitable for a modern scientific environment.

Benchmark FF&E Solutions was appointed to deliver the full fitted furniture package for the new laboratory and associated cloakroom facilities. The brief emphasised clean, neutral aesthetics, chemical resistance, and practical performance. All works were completed to a high standard and on schedule, with full project management support provided throughout.

The project specification included:

  • Professional, clinical finishes in Platinum White for a clean lab environment
  • Solid grade laminate worktops suitable for regular exposure to chemicals
  • Purpose-built cloakroom and lab furniture with specialist fittings
  • Steel cantilever benching systems for flexibility and strength
  • Durable cabinetry and hardware to support high-usage area

Implementation

Benchmark FF&E worked closely with Inuti Global to coordinate the design, manufacture, and installation of all fitted furniture, ensuring integration with building services and lab-specific requirements.

  • Cabinetry & Doors: 18mm Egger MFC in Platinum White with MR MDF doors for strength and cleanability.
  • Worksurfaces: 16mm Trespa Toplab Base SGL in Plain White, offering chemical resistance and easy maintenance.
  • Sinks & Taps: Simmons epoxy resin undermounted sinks and Watersaver lab taps for lab-grade functionality.
  • Cantilever Benching: Steel ERW legs in Gloss White with height-adjustable feet for flexibility and strength.
  • Cloakroom Benching: Powder-coated steel hooks and laminated MR MDF benching in matching finishes.

Result

The project was delivered to specification, snag-free, and on time. Key outcomes included:
